QTIC Young Professionals Mentoring Program
Posted on October 20th, 2021
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) Young Professionals Mentoring Program is currently accepting applications from both interested mentees and mentors.
Each year, the QTIC Mentoring Program matches industry leaders as mentors, with mentees who are eager to progress their career in the tourism and hospitality sector.
The program runs over a six-month period between February and July each year. It begins with an induction/welcome session and concludes with a networking function. During the program, mentees meet with their allocated mentors monthly (either in-person or online). Meetings are semi-structured and provide the opportunity for relevant and individually tailored discussion topics and tasks.
If you are an experienced professional who is passionate about the tourism industry and gets a kick out of helping others, you would make an ideal mentor. Mentees relish the chance to ask questions, seek advice and enjoy the support of someone who has already walked down a similar career pathway.
Similarly, if you are a young professional forging your career in the tourism and hospitality industry and would benefit from one-on-one mentoring with an industry leader, the Mentoring Program encourages you to apply.
Applications for the free Mentoring Program are now open and close Friday 19 November.
