Best of luck to all nominees of the 2021 Best in Business Awards

Excitement is now rapidly building for Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast’s night of nights following the closing of nominations for the 2021 Best in Business Awards.

Capricorn Enterprise, in partnership with the Capricornia Chamber of Commerce, has received an overwhelming response to the Awards and it is now over to the judges to deem who will take out the top gong across the eight prestigious categories.

With finalists set to be announced in the coming weeks, it’s time for everyone to dust off their finery and get set for the biggest night of the year!

Held at Kortes Resort on Saturday 27th November, the ritzy Gala, along with being a night to remember, will crown the winners across 8 categories including:

  • Best New Business
  • Best Small to Medium Business
  • Best Medium to Large Business
  • Best Community Enterprise
  • Best Employee
  • Best Apprentice or Trainee; and
  • Best Response to the COVID-19 Business Environment
  • People’s Choice

In addition to the competitive awards, the Best in Business Awards Gala will also recognize tourism organisations who received 100 points against a set of independent and weighted criteria of Best in Queensland, together with Platinum Awards for businesses who have been in continuous operation for over 20 years.

Featuring a gourmet three-course dinner, hydrating beverage package and groovy live entertainment with the Rhonda Janes Band, the evening, hosted by Alexandra Cullen, will offer a chance for business representatives to mingle, let their hair down and celebrate success.

Mary Carroll, CEO of Capricorn Enterprise is excited to welcome guests to this prestigious event, which will acknowledge the local, resilient operators who make our destination unique.

“Despite there being selected winners in each category, we truly believe that every single nomination and finalist is a champion,” Mary said.

“The standard of nominations received has been of an exceptional standard and I certainly don’t envy the judges position in deciding who the winners will be.”

The competition for People’s Choice is still going strong, with votes rolling in thick and fast. Vote now – https://www.capricorniachamber.com.au/vote-now-for-your-peoples-choice-winner/.

“We have more than 40 businesses vying for People’s Choice and so far, it’s neck and neck, so we are urging the local community to head online and place their vote for their favourite business,” Mary said.
