Mount Morgan’s Twilight Christmas back again

Following on from the success of last year’s Twilight Christmas Concert, Mount Morgan Promotion and Development Inc [MMPAD] is again holding its carols concert event at Mount Morgan’s Historical Railway Station on Friday 16th December from 6pm.
MMPAD President, Mr John Steinberger said last year’s event was favourably received and the number of positive comments we received was outstanding. More than 150 attended the event.
“We have decided to keep the event as an outdoor function, providing quality entertainment and generating a special atmosphere at the historic Railway Station.
“While there are no government requirements in relation to COVID, there are still plenty of hand sanitising stations and opportunities for people to social distance if they so choose,” he said.
Mr Steinberger said this year’s program offered some special treats with Lyn Anstey, Jodi Nichols and John Batley performing.
“Amanda Sealy, who performed with Troy Cassar-Daley in 2019, will also be providing entertainment,” he said.
“We have kept our performance in line with the Christmas Spirit and have included sing-alongs with the Christmas Carols, encouraging the audience to join in.
As a special treat for the kids, Santa will arrive on the Fire Engine with some sweet treats.
Mr Steinberger said MMPAD would also draw the 2022 Buy Local Promotion winners.
“This was favourably received last year,” Mr Steinberger said.
Concert goers also can buy light refreshments including coffee, tea, pancakes, a sausage sizzle, or a nice cold ice cream.
“All in all, it will be a great evening for everyone to relax, enjoy and join in with the free entertainment,” he said.
