Southern Great Barrier Reef heads to New Zealand

This week, on behalf of the whole of the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination (Capricorn, Gladstone & Bundaberg), SGBR Leader Eloise Chaffers is attending Tourism and Events Queensland’s New Zealand Trade Show, “Queensland is calling”.
During 85 appointments in Auckland and a further 43 appointments in Christchurch, our destination will be showcased during an 8-minute presentation to each appointment, representing trade ready products and the broader destination.
Each event will also raffle a prize, experiencing the whole of the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination, with Capricorn precinct vouchers including Great Keppel Island Hideaway, Freedom Fast Cats, Koorana Crocodile Farm, Cooberrie Park Wildlife Park and Salt Yeppoon, offering additional exposure during networking events.
The Southern Great Barrier Reef destination has worked closely with the New Zealand markets over the years, with annual in-market representation at trade shows, as well as more recent zoom updates to ensure the destination is front of mind.
