Capricorn Enterprise launches a BONZA destination campaign

With Australia’s newest low-cost airline taking to our regional skies this month, Capricorn Enterprise is excited to officially launch the first installment of a two-part campaign aimed at bringing more visitors to our wonderfully diverse destination.

Now a purple-hot and trending word on the street, Bonza’s fun and lively brand has rapidly become a dominant and extremely welcome addition to Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast, Southern Great Barrier Reef, offering an affordable and easy alternative to driving and providing a fresh lease of life to the stratosphere.

With the inaugural flight already touching down in Rockhampton (ROK) from Townsville (TSV) recently, and Sunshine Coast (MCY), Cairns (CNS) and Melbourne (MEL) guests gearing up to take their first flights on 13th March (MCY), 31st March (CNS) and 11th April (MEL), the team from Capricorn Enterprise are ready and raring to showcase the wonders of our backyard via the geotargeted campaign which kicks off on Sunday 5th March.

Utilising captivating footage taken by one of Australia’s most well-known and highly accredited photographers, Sean Scott, the short yet punchy social media reels encapsulate some of the key hero experiences on offer for visitors after they land at Rockhampton Airport.

Welcoming Bonza with both arms, Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll knows that the campaign will motivate holiday makers to stay and play longer as they discover the broad diversity of our destination.

“From beef, barra and heritage in Rocky, to the laid back vibes of Yeppoon and Great Keppel Island, along with our well-known attractions including Capricorn Caves, Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Koorana Crocodile Farm, and the Southern Great Barrier Reef, visitors can truly experience a well-rounded holiday within one destination,” Mary said.

“As the Sunshine Coast is one of our key source markets within Queensland, this affordable one-hour flight is a much easier and safer option to driving, and as CEO Tim Jordan shared, we want visitors to ‘get off the Bruce and onto Bonza’.”

With a goal of building awareness and desire for the diversity of our destination, the minimal-cost, co-branded campaign drives online traffic to the Visit Capricorn website which features links to the Bonza app for bookings.

“11 Bonza flights will arrive at Rockhampton Airport each week, welcoming up to 106,392 new visitors through the terminal over the course of the year,” Mary said.

“Visitation across the entire destination has been going strong for years now, and the Bonza flights will further boost these numbers as new and returning visitors find their way back to our patch of paradise.”
