SGBR showcased to hundreds of international journalists at ATE24 Media Program

It was a buzz of excitement as Grace from Bundaberg Tourism and Alyssah from Capricorn Enterprise brought the Southern Great Barrier Reef to the floor at ATE24’s Media Program in Melbourne.

Over two dynamic days on May 28th and 29th, this event served as a nexus for international journalists and travel aficionados, fostering connections and illuminating the vibrant tapestry of Australia’s tourism landscape.

Transforming chilly Melbourne atmosphere into a warm Queensland embrace, Alyssah and Grace engaged in a whirlwind of 21 meticulously scheduled business appointments, forging connections with representatives from across the globe—United States, Canada, Switzerland, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Germany, and New Zealand.

The high-calibre event, held at the 5-star Ritz Carlton, welcomed esteemed content creators from renowned publications such as ELLE Quebec Magazine, British GLAMOUR, New Zealand Herald, Champ Magazine, Tabs on Travel Today, BBC Travel, and many more.

In between these pivotal meetings, the team seized opportunities to mingle and exchange insights at networking functions and press updates, forming bonds with fellow media gurus who share their passion for storytelling.

With plans to follow up on connections made at this event, team SGBR look forward to welcoming our new found media allies to experience the splendour of the Southern Great Barrier Reef firsthand.

Our attendance at ATE IMM is with thanks to the Australian government EMDG (Export Marketing Development Grant).
