Keppel Eats wins prestigious national award at PFD’s National Awards for Excellence

Keppel Eats is celebrating a significant achievement after winning the Supplier Under $20 Million award at the PFD National Awards for Excellence, held at Crown Melbourne on Friday, 7 March.

With over 300 industry leaders in attendance, the event recognised the top suppliers in Australia’s foodservice sector.

Keppel Eats competed against many industry giants, including Bega Cheese, Smith’s Chips, and Sandhurst Fine Foods, making this win even more remarkable.

The award, presented by Darren Miller alongside PFD CEO Angus McPherson, highlights Keppel Eats’ commitment to supporting promotional activities, maintaining a reliable supply chain, and fostering strong relationships nationwide.

It also reinforces the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality protein in convenient formats and locations at an affordable price.

Keppel Eats CEO Mark Davie expressed his excitement about the recognition.

“We were thrilled to be nominated by PFD in this category last year, as well as by another major independent buying group in 2024,” Mark said.

“These nominations, and now this win, show that Keppel Eats is gaining significant national recognition in the foodservice industry.”

“We’re incredibly grateful to our expanding team and loyal customers across Australia and excited about the growth trajectory ahead.”

Keppel Eats Director Kelly Newton also acknowledged the dedication of their team.

“This award is recognition of Keppel’s focussed and valuableend-user work, plus our energy and effort as a supplier team,” Ms Newton said.

“At the centre of our growth, together with PFD, has always been – what best serves our shared customers.”

“It’s an incredible honour to be recognised on a national stage and Keppel Eats will continue our mission to provide quality protein, at an affordable price in convenient formats and locations.”

Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll congratulated Keppel Eats on their success.

“Keppel Eats’ achievement is not just a win for the company but a proud moment for the entire Capricorn Coast region,” Mary said.

“Their innovation and excellence in foodservice are inspiring, and we are excited to see them continue to thrive.”

PFD, fully acquired by Woolworths in June 2024, remains committed to recognising excellence in the foodservice industry.

This latest accolade further cements Keppel Eats’ reputation as a rising leader in the national foodservice market.
