Capricorn Coast region, Southern Great Barrier Reef going global with targeted travel trade engagement in 2026

As part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef (SGBR) destination marketing partnership – alongside our regional neighbours Gladstone and Bundaberg, Capricorn Enterprise will once again represent our Capricorn Coast Region at key international trade events throughout 2026.

This collaborative approach to marketing the SGBR brand helps amplify our regional presence in overseas markets, particularly vital as distance increases and broader destination awareness becomes more influential for travellers. The strength of the SGBR brand continues to open doors in global markets, positioning our region as a must-visit reef and coastal destination.

At the same time, Capricorn Enterprise is actively building the stand-alone visibility of the Capricorn Coast Region, as a brand within the SGBR framework. By attending select events independently, thanks to our EMDG (Export Marketing Development Grant), we are ensuring that the unique experiences and offerings of our destination are seen, heard, and remembered by international travel buyers and trade partners.
