High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm is celebrating 10 years of impact in Central Queensland, marking a decade of hands-on education, regenerative land use and community-led innovation.
Over the past ten years, High Valley Dawn has established itself as a respected training and gathering place, delivering hands-on workshops, retreats and collaborative events focused on real-world skills for sustainable living and land management.
This September, the milestone will be marked through a major collaboration with Grounded Permaculture, with the 10th annual Grounded Gathering held at High Valley Dawn during the September school holidays. The event will bring together leading facilitators, families and practitioners for large-scale food forest planting, practical workshops and a family-friendly program.
Significantly, 2026 will also see Central Queensland’s first dedicated Permaculture Design Course delivered from High Valley Dawn, combining online learning with an intensive on-site practical component — reinforcing the region’s growing leadership in sustainable skills and education. The anniversary program also includes a week-long children’s bush school, running alongside the school holidays, allowing families to learn together while supporting parents undertaking formal training.
After a decade of growth, High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm remains a trusted centre for practical learning and community-led outcomes in Central Queensland.
