UpCycle CQ Inc. is entering a pivotal growth phase — strengthening local capability, building material literacy, and advancing a human-centred circular micro-factory vision for the Capricorn Coast.
UpCycle CQ volunteers are proving that materials always retain useful life. Waste is the result of poor design decisions, not inevitability; and community net-worth is preserved when materials are repaired, reused, re-engineered and remade locally rather than purchased and discarded. Individual effort matters — but long-term economic uplift depends on systems designed to support material stewardship, skill development, and value-added production.
The next chapter is the establishment of a regional Circular Precinct — a practical platform where recovered materials become inputs for enterprise, training, and innovation. This is not waste diversion; it is local value created through the application of personal competence, creativity, and disciplined circular practice.
To guide this phase, UpCycle CQ are seeking two key volunteer directors — Secretary and Treasurer — to complete our Board and support ACNC registration and DGR endorsement before year’s end.
Local enterprise-oriented business locals that understand the importance of capability building and retained regional value are encouraged to connect.
If you are predisposed to help shape a working social enterprise model that strengthens our circular ecosystem and builds measurable net-worth along the Capricorn Coast and across Fitzroy Basin, then contact: Jim Callan.
