Industry representatives from across the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton region recently came together at Salt Yeppoon for the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) Future Ready Workforce Consultation, contributing valuable insights into the workforce challenges and opportunities facing the local economy.
The interactive session brought together industry representatives to discuss workforce attraction, retention, skills development and training pathways. Participants shared firsthand experiences and collaborated on practical solutions to help build a stronger, more resilient workforce for the region.
The consultation also provided an opportunity for local operators to validate and build on findings from the QTIC Workforce Priorities Report, ensuring the regions unique workforce needs are reflected in future industry planning and government initiatives.
Feedback gathered during the session will contribute to QTIC’s Future Ready Insights Report and help inform statewide workforce strategies, funding priorities and future workforce development programs.
