Last week, Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll attended the Yeppoon Regional Forum, joining community, industry and government representatives to discuss opportunities and priorities for the Capricorn Coast. The forum provided a valuable opportunity to share local perspectives and explore ways to support the region’s continued growth and prosperity.
Ministerial and Senior State Government attendance included:
- The Hon. Dale Last MP, Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing and Minister for Regional and Rural Development.
- The Hon. Steve Minnikin MP, Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business
- The Hon. Ros Bates MP, Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training
- Sally Stannard, Director General, Department of Transport and Main Roads
- Gerard Coggan, Coordinator-General, Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning
- Graham Fraine, Director General, Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, Regional and Rural Development
State Members of Parliament in attendance were Member for Keppel Nigel Hutton MP and Member for Mirani Glen Kelly, along with Livingstone Shire Council Mayor Adam Belot and Councillors.
The Board of Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) also travelled to Yeppoon to attend the forum, along with their Board meeting and a business networking night. CEO Mary Carroll had the opportunity to welcome TIQ to Yeppoon and present to the Board meeting the following day, providing an overview of our prosperous region, major regional priority projects and opportunities in CQ.
