Gracemere Industrial Area
Gracemere Industrial Area (GIA) is Rockhampton’s and Central Queensland’s industrial precinct catering for a comprehensive range of industries categorised from low impact through to high impact industry. The GIA is a staged development with the eastern precinct now accommodating a wide variety of businesses including major transport, logistics and warehousing, mining and heavy machinery servicing, fuel distribution, manufacturing, recycling and machinery auctions.
Central Queensland has long been recognised nationally as a growth area with considerable potential and opportunity. The Queensland Government and Rockhampton Regional Council have identified the Gracemere Industrial Area as a regionally significant area required to meet current and future industrial land demands of the Rockhampton Region.
Industry Vision
The Gracemere Industrial Area is centrally located to serve Queensland’s mining operations, with the Bowen, Surat and Galilee Basins located within a 400km radius, Gladstone Port 110km away, and only 600km to Queensland’s capital Brisbane.
