See a new side of Rockhampton – Mount Archer’s new canopy walk
Posted on March 28th, 2018
Residents and visitors will now be able to enjoy breathtaking views of Rockhampton with the opening of the first stage of Mount Archer’s Fraser Park new canopy walk on Thursday afternoon 29th of March just in time for Easter.
The State Government funded $750,000 towards the project ($300,000 from the Works for Queensland program as well as $450,000 from the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing).
Further stages of Mount Archer’s iconic Fraser Park Redevelopment recently received another funding boost thanks to the Australian Government’s $1.5million contribution.
The $750,000 circuit is part of the Mount Archer activation plan and extends 25 meters outward and 7.5 metres high with works on the second stage of the project to commence shortly.
The Mount Archer Nurim Circuit is the latest regional project to open, following the Cedric Archer water play area, the North Rockhampton Waterslides, the Rockhampton Riverbank revitalisation and Mount Morgan’s CBD streetscape.
