Top Aussie Influencers return to destination!

One of Australia’s top travel bloggers, Phoebe and Matt from “Little Grey Box” have returned to our destination after first visiting eighteen (18) months ago!

Capricorn Enterprise is very excited to be hosting one of our favourite influencers who have an audience of 60,000 per month and a combined social media following of 39,000 and 14,000 website subscribers!  Since 2012, their followers from Australia, USA, Great Britain, Singapore, Indonesia and Canada have continued to grow and enjoy their award winning content.

Phoebe is a writer and presenter and Matt is a videographer, together creating content to inspire meaningful travel.

This week, Little Grey Box experienced a Rosslyn Bay Wellness Retreat including a visit to High Valley Dawn permaculture garden, before heading over to Pumpkin Island, followed by a tour of the amazing street art and murals along the Capricorn Coast from Emu Park to Yeppoon including a visit to the Yeppoon Lagoon.

After spending a night in the Villa Mar Colina penthouse, they’ve headed west to the stunning Carnarvon Gorge in our Sandstone Wilderness region of the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination for a few days, enjoying Valentine’s Day in the very romantic Kookaburra Studios overlooking Carnarvon creek at the beautiful Takarakka Bush Resort.  As their first time to Carnarvon Gorge, we cannot wait to read about their visit!

To recap on their previous visit, read on…

This week’s experiences will build upon their last visit to our destination which included Rockhampton and Mount Morgan, the Capricorn Coast from Byfield to Yeppoon, Capricorn Caves to Koorana Crocodile Farm and the Botanic Gardens/Zoo, Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary to Great Keppel Island, from Emu Park to the National Park lookouts and Keppel Bay Marina.  We received incredible feedback from that first visit and these remain as some of our favourite blogs:

This is how to spend 2 awesome days in Rockhampton

23 Awesome things you absolutely must do in Yeppoon

15 of the best places to eat in Yeppoon

13 Awesome things you absolutely must do on Great Keppel Island

And the love was reciprocated, with Phoebe and Matt awarding Yeppoon their BEST Australian Destination and Long Beach, Great Keppel Island their BEST Beach Experience in their 2017 Little Grey Box Travel Awards!  Here’s what Phoebe had to say:

 Best Australian DestinationWinner: Yeppoon, Queensland

“We found ourselves exploring Yeppoon as part of a work trip and fell in love with the area. The coastal town, full of the genuinely lovely and friendly locals, amazing restaurants, cool cafes and great bars. The incredible beaches, golden sunsets and proximity to Great Keppel Island and all its wonder, topped off with that indescribable Queensland country charm made Yeppoon a dream destination. Matt and I rarely talk about loving anywhere more than Brisbane but found ourselves talking about moving to Yeppoon – that’s how much we fell in love with it!”

Best Beach ExperienceWinner: Long Beach (Great Keppel Island), Australia

On a work trip to Great Keppel Island, we were treated to a guided tour by Eloise of Great Keppel Island Hideaway. Ellie took us to Long Beach, a pristine stretch of white sand and sparkling blue water drenched in golden Queensland sunshine. I love the beach and instantly fell in love with the idyllic destination. It’s no surprise Long Beach has been recognised as one of Australia’s best beaches!”

Hosting Little Grey Box this week is part of our additional marketing efforts post the December 2018 bushfires in our region and we are sincerely grateful to Tourism and Events Queensland and the State government for some additional marketing funds.

We can’t wait to see the amazing content from this visit!
