Inaugural Top Tourism Town winners announced

Winners have been revealed for Queensland’s hotly contested Top Tourism Town, with 37 outstanding finalists from across the state competing for the top award. The Awards hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) recognise and celebrate towns that excel in providing an outstanding visitor experience.

Yeppoon was named runner up for the Top Tourism Town Award with Noosa winning the top prize in Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s inaugural Awards.

Our Southern Great Barrier Reef neighbours, Agnes Water/1770, were winners in the Top Small Tourism Town category, with Airlie Beach the runner up.

Out of the 37 nominations across Queensland, five towns including Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Agnes Water/1770 and Bundaberg were from our Southern Great Barrier Reef destination with two receiving placements!

Thank you to everyone who voted for our beautiful backyard, as 70% of the vote was based on public feedback.
