Top Tourism Town campaign shows promising results
Posted on May 24th, 2022
Voting has now closed for Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Top Tourism Town Awards.
Award organisers shared that the public response was impressive with well over 11,000 votes received, and only a handful of votes separating first and second place in each category.
Winners will be announced at a special event on Monday 13th June by The Hon Stirling Hinchliffe MP, Minister for Tourism, Innovation and Sport and Minister Assisting the Premier, and with four Southern Great Barrier Reef towns (Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Gladstone and Bundaberg) going head-to-head in friendly rivalry, we are hopeful to see the crown return from Brisbane.
With iconic local Jeremy Marou fronting Capricorn Enterprise’s entry for Yeppoon, the results of our two week social media campaign have returned outstanding results.
The ‘This is Yeppoon… see you soon’ advertisement received 20,756 views, with 7337 unique clicks through to the voting page, and over 280,374 people reached across the entire campaign.
All voters have gone into the draw to win a $2000 Apollo Motorhome holiday package which will be drawn at 11am on Thursday 26th May.
Thank you to everyone who voted and we look forward to the big announcement!
