NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN for the 2022 Best in Business Awards

Do you know a local business or enterprise who is going above and beyond to deliver consistent and outstanding service across our region? Or perhaps you operate a business that exemplified inclusion, provided equal access, and fostered experiences and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized.

After an extremely successful and celebrated inaugural event in 2021, the 2022 Best in Business Awards, hosted in partnership by Capricorn Enterprise and the Capricornia Chamber of Commerce, will once again highlight our exceptional broad industry business drivers who are using innovation and expertise to move the region forward.

Providing a platform to celebrate success, further motivate and inspire others, the Awards encompass nine categories including Best New Business, Best Small Business, Best Medium Business, Best Large Business, Best Community Enterprise, Best Employee as nominated by an Employer, Best Apprentice or Trainee as nominated by an Employer, Best Accessible Business and People’s Choice.

Highlighting the importance of inclusivity, a new category has been introduced this year which will announce the Best Accessible Business within the region.

Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll is excited to announce the launch of these prestigious Awards for 2022 and encourages businesses to nominate.

“These Awards are an opportunity to share and acknowledge our successes and challenges across another 12 months and bring the entire business community together for an end of year celebration,” Mary said.

“We are fast approaching the three-year mark of operating our businesses differently and evolving in the face of the global pandemic.”

“The Awards will provide a positive impact on businesses and people across our community and celebrate many local operations who provide excellence within our region, making it a superb place to work, live and play,” Mary said.

President of the Capricornia Chamber of Commerce, Phil Henry is looking forward to receiving nominations from an array of businesses across the region.

“Our local businesses, whether small, medium, large, new or old are the lifeblood of our regional economy and we should all be extremely proud of the community we have collectively created across Central Queensland,” Phil said.

“Feedback from the 2021 event was extremely positive and we are proud to be delivering the Awards in conjunction with Capricorn Enterprise again this year.”

“We are now accepting nominations from those businesses registered within the Local Government Areas of Rockhampton Regional Council or Livingstone Shire Council which will be independently assessed by a panel of six industry experts.”
