Luxe modular cabins on route to Poinciana in time for Christmas

Poinciana Tourist Park in Yeppoon has set their sights on exciting new upgrades to enhance their business and provide an even greater visitor experience for their new and returning guests.

Following the introduction of eight glamping tents and an amazing shipping container pool early this year, Poinciana which is centrally located in Cooee Bay, Yeppoon, continues to be a popular choice for caravans, campervans, tents, and those simply wishing to have a camping experience, where the hard work is already done.

With Poinciana Tourist Park experiencing higher than usual occupancy over the past months, father and son team Bill and Matthew Ouston have further committed resources to deliver a complete overhaul of the existing cabins on site, replacing them with brand new modular cabins featuring modern designs and styling.

“The cabins, which will range from Studio options to Deluxe and Family options, are set to be the perfect Christmas gift for the park, arriving just in time for the Capricorn Coast’s peak holiday season,” Matthew said.

“Since taking over the business in 2021, our family has continued to make significant changes to the six-decade old coastal getaway, providing guests with a space that is comfortable, modern, and unique to this beautiful part of the world.”

The perfect place for couples, friends and families, Poinciana Tourist Park is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the leafy natural beauty of Yeppoon, while being only stone’s throw from the beach, local shops and a range of restaurants and cafes.

Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll is thrilled to hear of Poinciana’s latest upgrades, which will further contribute to our desirable destination, and extending our accommodation styles to entice visitors.

“Holiday parks, which are a key experience within our tourism portfolio, have modernized considerably over the past 40 years,” Mary said.

“What was once a holiday involving elements of ‘roughing it’, nowadays, guests staying within holiday and tourist parks across the destination experience stylish accommodation options, impeccable facilities, resort pools, playgrounds, and much more.”

“With visitation to the Capricorn Coast consistently increasing, it is pleasing to see our local operators steadily developing, evolving and implementing positive changes within their businesses.”

With the modular prefabricated designs lessening onsite construction and disruption to the Park’s operations, the 12 sophisticated new cabins will start arriving just in time for the summer holidays.
