Lendlease Global Springboard Groups return to Capricorn Coast

We are thrilled to welcome back the Lend Lease Springboard groups from around the world to the Capricorn Coast after launching in June 2019, then halting for three years.

Springboard is an innovative program that brings Lendlease employees from around the world to Yeppoon – the gateway of the Great Barrier Reef, on the Capricorn Coast. Over five immersive days, they gain insight into their strengths and then use those skills to create meaningful solutions in their life, community and to solve the big-picture challenges facing our natural resources and planet.

It’s all about making a difference and part of the Lendlease commitment to create a lasting impact for tomorrow.

Working with Impact International and our community partners Fitzroy Basin Association, Livingstone Shire Council, Upcycle CQ and Cap Coast Landcare, Springboard invests in the wellbeing of people while contributing to the local community as part of our goal of contributing $250m of social value by 2025.

“Our ‘Living with purpose, inspiring through hope’ tagline has never been more relevant. I’m excited by the possibility of offering our employees the opportunity to make a difference here on the Capricorn Coast.” Edmund McCombs, Group Head of Social Impact, Lendlease.

The first of three groups this year, has just completed their 5 night stay at Rosslyn Bay Resort, with groups yet to visit in August and October this year.

Whilst in region, the group visit the Southern Great Barrier Reef with Freedom Fast Cats, learn new skills at High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm and participate in voluntary work with local environmental groups.
