CQ Nature Tours in Central Queensland Highlands announces two new exciting adventures
Posted on July 18th, 2023
Taking guests on a scenic journey across one of the most magical places on earth in the picturesque Carnarvon Gorge region of Central Queensland, Caity and Christian Bom from CQ Nature Tours are ready and raring to play host in further showcasing the spectacular sights of their stunning backyard – Nyanda Gorge at Nyanda Station.
As accredited Savannah Guides, the pair launched CQ Nature Tours in 2022 to share their love of the great outdoors with their guests.
Just over 12 months on, Christian and Caity are still living and breathing amongst one of Australia’s most beautiful and untouched natural landscapes, and pleased to still be delving into the magnificent stories that are hidden in the landscape.
“Over our last year of operation, we have welcomed guests from far and wide to our special part of the world,” Christian said.
“We have received great feedback and suggestions, made some adjustments to better our tours, and now pleased to add two new tours to our portfolio.”
Complimenting their already existing Carnarvon Gorge tours, the 6-hour Nyanda Gorge Tour is the ultimate way to witness the beauty of the family property at Nyanda Station. The scenic, easy tag-along driving tour, takes guests over rugged sandstone ranges before discovering the Consuelo Creek rock pools in the Gorge’s spring fed water system. The Nyanda Gorge Tour requires guests to have a high clearance vehicle with some 4WD tracks involving sand and some rocky sections.
For guests looking for a more relaxing experience on a working cattle station, the Nyanda Station Tour allows you to navigate the scenic beauty of the 38,500-acre property in your own 4WD vehicle, as Caity and Christian share stories of what life is like on a cattle station. This two-hour tour finishes with morning or afternoon tea by their spring fed creek, with a chance to see platypus and the countless wildlife that call it home.
“Nyanda Station has been family owned and operated for generations, and each part of the property has its own unique charm and excitement,” Caity said.
“Our station tour takes guests through the most picturesque parts of the property, including stunning creeks and gorges that are inaccessible to the general public.”
Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll congratulates CQ Nature Tours on a successful 12 months of business and evolving their tour offerings to deliver an even better product for holiday makers to our destination.
“Carnarvon Gorge and the bordering rugged ranges of Queensland’s central highlands provide a unique destination enabling visitors to explore the ancient world of sandstone and 19,000-year-old Aboriginal art,” Mary said.
“We are fortunate to see businesses such as CQ Nature Tours continue to invest and grow in the tourism industry.”
With tours being delivered through their private property, CQ Nature Tours are dog friendly.
Caity and Christian can also work with guests to develop custom experiences to suit interests and abilities.
“We can’t wait to welcome you to explore and experience our backyard,” Caity said.
