The Yeppoon Pickleball Festival kicks off on the Capricorn Coast in July

No need to get into a pickle about this year’s Pickleball Festival! We have all the information to get you in the swing.
With Yeppoon playing a backdrop to the ever popular and growing sport, Yeppoon Tennis Club, with their 14 purpose-built courts is proud to showcase our beautiful Capricorn Coast as part of this exciting event which will be held from 14th to 23rd July.
The jam-packed festival agenda will bring people together to play, grow, laugh, compete, connect, exercise, and enjoy the full pickleball experience.
Opening night of the Yeppoon Pickleball Festival will kick off on Friday 14th July with a social hit and dinner before the Seniors Tournament commences.
Kel Rasmussen from Yeppoon Tennis Club said “ We are thrilled to be hosting this type of event, which will welcome Junior, Senior and elite pickleball players to the tournaments, coaching clinics, festival dinner and more.
The Yeppoon Tennis Club, located in the heart of Cooee Bay is an asset to our local community and our goal as a club is to continue bringing players of all abilities and ages together to enjoy the facilities.”
The National Seniors Tournament (15th and 16th July) is a sanctioned PAA event offering competition for ages 50 plus through to 70 plus and from skill levels 2.0 up to 4.0 and above.
Friday 21st July is a FREE event , so bring the family along to experience pickleball. There will be a free Junior coaching session followed by an exhibition match by some of Australia’s elite players.
Over the weekend 22nd and 23rd July, the Queensland Pickleball Tour will be held which is a series of five events played in some of Queensland’s best locations. This is a points event with the finals being played in Brisbane later in the year.
“The Queensland Pickleball Tour welcomes Open, 35 plus, 50 plus & 60 plus players,”. This generally attracts a very high standard of players from around Australia.
Coffee and food vans will be available throughout the festival and there are plenty of relaxed viewing and shade options available,and we encourage the local community to come down and experience the welcoming world of pickleball, even pick up a paddle access to the event is free”
