Frenchville Sports Club spreads festive cheer with Salvation Army Gift Giving Tree

Frenchville Sports Club is delighted to announce the launch of the Salvation Army Gift Giving Tree, a
heartwarming initiative aimed at bringing joy and support to families in need this Christmas season.

The Gift Giving Tree encourages members of the Club and the broader community to share the spirit
of giving by placing unwrapped gifts under the tree, which will then be thoughtfully distributed to
local families facing challenges during the festive season.

Frenchville Sports Club Chairman, Graeme Brady OAM, expressed the club’s pride in continuing this
meaningful initiative, saying, “We are immensely proud to once again host the Salvation Army Gift
Giving Tree at Frenchville Sports Club. The holiday season is a time for compassion, and we believe
this initiative allows our members and the community to come together to make a real difference in
the lives of those less fortunate. It’s heartwarming to witness the generosity of our community, and
we look forward to seeing the Gift Giving Tree adorned with kindness.”

Members and community members alike are invited to place their unwrapped gifts under the tree at
Frenchville Sports Club before Thursday, December 7th, to ensure they can be included in the
distribution to families in need.

Major Peter Sutcliffe from the Salvation Army Rockhampton, extended his gratitude to Frenchville
Sports Club for their ongoing support. “We want to express our sincere thanks to the Frenchville
Sports Club for their commitment to the Gift Giving Tree initiative. The gifts collected stay local,
directly benefiting families in our community who may be facing challenges during the festive
season. Their generosity contributes to creating a brighter Christmas for those who need it most.”

The warm and community-friendly initiative aims to embody the true spirit of Christmas, fostering a
sense of togetherness and support within the Rockhampton community. The unwrapped gifts under
the Salvation Army Gift Giving Tree serve as symbols of hope, love, and the shared joy of the holiday
season.
