Year of Accessible Tourism – grants closing soon!

$5 million Accessible Tourism Elevate Fund offers two grant options so operators can apply for what they need, depending on where they are in their accessible tourism journey.

Access Starter Grants  – close 6 December 2023.

·         For organisations at the beginning their journey towards improving accessibility to get the basics right.

  • $5,000 (excluding GST) is available for eligible activities including access audits, development of accessibility plans and statements, improved communication and information sharing, digital and website accessibility, staff training and education.
  • No matched funding required.

Access Project Grants – closes on 21 December 2023.

  • For eligible tourism and events organisations who have already identified accessibility improvements and are ready to implement best practice accessibility projects.
  • Provides grant funding ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 (excluding GST) to support best practice accessibility projects that are co-designed with people with disability and deliver tangible, high-impact accessibility improvements.
  • Eligible activities include access improvements, accessible transport, adaptive equipment and technology, communication, signage and digital accessibility and sensory-friendly spaces and resources.
  • No matched funding required.
