Family friendly events to farewell 2023

The Capricorn Coast region is set to become a kaleidoscope of colour on New Years Eve (Sunday 31st December), with unforgettable laser light shows and fireworks displays brightening the skies.

Livingstone Shire Council will once again host their popular ‘New Year’s Eve at the Beach’ event, which will deliver an evening of entertainment, music, and a spectacular laser light show.

Kicking off at 5pm, local artist Scott Foden will set the stage for the beachside party, adding to the magic of roving entertainment, aerial shows, and more awe-inspiring performances against the backdrop of the Yeppoon foreshore.

The free, state-of-the-art laser light show will begin at 8pm with the evening concluding at 9pm.

In Rockhampton, Triple M’s Light Up the Sky will go off with a family-friendly bang from 7.30pm and then back up again at midnight for the serious New Years revelers.

Set along the Rockhampton Riverside Precinct, the 10-minute fireworks spectacular will be synced to a Triple M soundtrack. You’ll also find market stalls, food vans, live entertainment and plenty of fun for the whole family!
