Livingstone Shire Council has awarded the licence to operate the Fig Tree Galleries & Workshop space to Keppel Coast Arts for 3 years (with $50k pa funding).
The Summer In Capricorn exhibition is funded by RADF & KCA and attracted entries from as far away as the Sunshine Coast & Emerald, with a total of over 60 works submitted, reflecting on the theme of summertime in our region. The selection panel has chosen 46 works to be included- all new works never before seen in a public exhibition. The exhibition will run until the end Jan 2024. There is a Peoples’ Choice Award with a $1000 prize to the winning artist.
Celebrating our region
We love where we live! Fig Tree Galleries invited artists to reflect on their favourite summertime moments in the Capricorn Region. The results are superb! You can vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Award. One talented artist will take home a $1000 prize.
