UPDATE: The Station 4703 website – https://thestation4703.square.site/, has an email contact button for reservations and a contact form for general enquiries.

Every sip is on ‘track’ and the wait is finally over for residents and visitors to Yeppoon, as the highly anticipated launch date for The Station 4703 is announced!

Mark your calendars for Saturday 15th June 2024 as the culmination of meticulous planning and community-driven vision comes to life, with The Station 4703 poised to redefine entertainment and leisure in the heart of the Capricorn Coast.

Nestled strategically in the vibrant pulse of Yeppoon on James Street, this dynamic venue, funded under the Commonwealth Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program, will offer cutting-edge facilities, designed to cater to diverse interests.

The Grant, which allowed facility owners and successful grant applicants, Livingstone Shire Council to decontaminate the site and contract the build, saw Yeppoon-based company Limestone Pacific tender successfully for the long-term lease.

Originally constructed as part of Yeppoon’s railway infrastructure, the land that now embodies The Station 4703 once served as a bustling hub of activity during the town’s early years.

As a station for travelers and a point of connection for goods coming and going, it played a vital role in shaping Yeppoon’s growth and development.

Over time, however, changes in transportation and industry led to the decline of the railway station, leaving the building in need of a new purpose. It wasn’t until years later that its true potential would be realized.

Enter Rob McElhenny and Carl Green, directors of Limestone Pacific Pty Ltd, whose innovative vision of creating a community family friendly space is set to come to life this month.

“We are thrilled to finally see this development breathe life and start becoming the heartbeat of Yeppoon’s social scene,” Rob said.

“With contemporary alfresco dining options, live music, versatile event spaces, station themed playground and a coffee shop (The Espresso 4703), every corner of the new premier setting is crafted to elevate the entertainment experience.”

The Station 4703 will also feature a taphouse that flaunts craft beers produced by independent Australian micro-breweries, including our very own Capricorn Coast breweries – Crimson Finch and YEPP Brewing,” the boys said.

Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll welcomes the opening of The Station 4703, which will mark a pivotal moment in Yeppoon’s evolution as a vibrant cultural and entertainment hub.

“Yeppoon’s thriving business landscape continues to evolve, showcasing our community’s resilience and entrepreneurial spirit,” Mary said.

“The opening of any new business brings excitement and opportunity, further solidifying the Capricorn Coast region as a dynamic destination for locals and visitors.”

The Station 4703 invites the Capricorn Coast community to join the opening celebrations on Saturday 15th June.
