Over 40 welcomed at ‘Capricorn Coast Region Welcomes You’ workshops

On March 4, we hosted two successful ‘Capricorn Coast Region Welcomes You’ workshops, part of the Queensland Welcomes You initiative.
The morning session at the Empire Apartment Hotel in Rockhampton and the afternoon session at Salt Yeppoon collectively attracted over 40 local and passionate operators.
The Queensland Welcomes You initiative, proudly funded by the Queensland Government and delivered by the Queensland Regional Tourism Network, aims to inspire those involved in welcoming guests to become proud hosts and deliver exceptional experiences. It offers both face-to-face workshops and online training programs tailored for each of Queensland’s 13 unique tourism regions. Participants gain deeper regional knowledge, enhance guest experiences, and receive certification upon completion, contributing to the state’s vibrant visitor economy.
These workshops equipped local businesses and volunteers with valuable skills to enrich guest interactions, fostering a more welcoming and inclusive environment across our region.
Anyone across the region can access the free, region-specific modules designed to improve customer service, deepen local knowledge, and provide visitors with memorable experiences.
