Dive Tourism to the Southern Great Barrier Reef

Diveplanit Travel (Deborah Dickson-Smith), with their key partner, Dive Spear and Sport 1770 (Carmen Bolton) will be promoting Queensland diving, and more specifically the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination, to the North America market at the 2025 DEMA Show in Orlando Florida, a major dive industry event in November this year.

In preparation for this event, Capricorn Enterprise assisted with a famil of our Capricorn Coast region within the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination and sincerely thanks the following operators for hosting our two guests learn more about our amazing tourism trade ready experiences:

Capricorn Caves, Koorana Crocodile Farm, High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm, Keppel Konnections, Great Keppel Island Hideaway and Seaspray Yeppoon.  Of course a famil isn’t complete without visiting Yeppoon Lagoon, Mount Archer N/P Nurim Skywalk, the Singing Ship and Wreck Point Lookout.  The ladies were very impressed with their meals at Waterline Restaurant, Keppel Bay Marina, Lure Living and Koorana Crocodile Farm  during their whirlwind 24 hour visit on the mainland!

Diveplanit is the only Australian Dive Travel Company with a significant focus on inbound travel and they have a full time sales consultant based in North America.  They brought 950 total passengers to Qld in 23/24, predominantly to North Qld, so the plan is to sell more of the Southern Great Barrier Reef island and mainland itineraries to both groups and free independent travellers in the future!
