Showcasing the Capricorn Coast region at the Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show
Posted on June 11th, 2025
Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre volunteer Kym Donaldson proudly represented the Capricorn Coast region at this year’s Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show, engaging with visitors over the five days (4-8 June). With over 37,000 attendees at the event, Kym shared destination highlights, handed out brochures, and inspired travellers to explore and extend their stay in our region—especially those planning road trips, looking for hidden gems, or seeking alternatives to the usual travel routes.
Many visitors were planning extensive trips (6 months to 2 years on the road) and the clientele included grey nomads (60+), pre-retirees planning future trips, young families on extended road trips, couples testing new caravans, and solo travellers (including a number of females 50+).
Key interests included road conditions, natural attractions, unique experiences, pet friendly accommodation and accessible adventures like Great Keppel Island and Byfield.
A big thank you to Kym for her time and enthusiasm and Drive Queensland for another fantastic show!
