Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre Connects with Community at Annual Seniors Expo

Our Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre team proudly attended the Annual Seniors Expo in Yeppoon on 22 August, hosted by Oak Tree Retirement Village, alongside dozens of community groups and service providers.

Led by our dedicated VIC Supervisor, Susan and supported by five enthusiastic volunteers, our stall welcomed many visitors between 9am and 1:30pm. Many seniors were surprised to learn that our Centre can assist with Queensland Rail ticket bookings, with several vowing to pop into the VIC or call us directly next time they plan a trip.

Alongside providing valuable travel advice, the team handed out Capricorn Coast Region Visitor Guides to encourage exploration of our area. The day was a wonderful chance to showcase how our Centre supports both locals and visitors with information, bookings, and inspiration for experiencing everything on offer.

This event once again highlighted the vital role of our volunteers, whose passion and knowledge make the Visitor Information Centre such a welcoming and resourceful hub for the community.
