Exploring Great Keppel Island’s Latest Experiences

Last week, a group of volunteers, alongside Supervisor (Susan Baylis) from the Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre, had the opportunity to experience the newest additions at Great Keppel Island.

The team caught the early Keppel Konnections ferry to the island and visited the innovative new Eco Tents at Great Keppel Island Hideaway, designed to blend comfort with sustainability, offering visitors an immersive nature experience. They also got a first look at the new GKI Boat Hire, which they all agreed they were easy to operate and best of all, requires no boating licence — making island exploration more accessible and fun for everyone.

In addition, the group revisited the Great Keppel Island Holiday Village to familiarise themselves with this wonderful property and its offerings, ensuring they are up to date with all the island has to offer visitors.

Experiences like these are invaluable, enabling volunteers to speak authentically and passionately about the destination. With more than 18,500 visitors assisted each year, the Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre volunteers play a vital role in promoting the region — helping visitors discover new experiences and make the most of their time on the Capricorn Coast.

Capricorn Enterprise thanks Keppel Konnections, Great Keppel Island Hideaway, GKI Boat Hire and Great Keppel Island Holiday Village for hosting the group and supporting the ongoing education of our volunteer team.
