Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre Visits Elysium Retreat and Stays

On Monday 18 May, the Supervisor of the Capricorn Coast Visitor Information Centre (VIC), along with nine VIC volunteers, attended a famil visit to Elysium Retreat and Stays, located just 10 minutes from Yeppoon. These visits provide volunteers with valuable firsthand insight into local tourism experiences, helping them better assist and inform visitors to the region.

Host and owner Jason Torrisi shared his passion and vision for the future of the retreat, outlining exciting plans to further expand the property’s facilities and amenities. His enthusiasm and commitment to creating a unique and peaceful destination were inspiring for the group to hear.

Since the Centre’s previous visit last year, noticeable improvements have been made throughout the property. From the moment the group arrived, the peaceful tranquillity of the natural surroundings was immediately apparent. Set across 40 acres of bushland, Elysium Retreat and Stays offers guests a serene escape where local wildlife can often be spotted wandering through the grounds. The campground currently features 18 powered and unpowered sites, along with convenient amenities including washing machines, showers, fire pits and BBQ facilities. The retreat is also pet friendly, making it an appealing option for a wide range of travellers.

Guests can also enjoy a well-equipped recreation room featuring a pool table, television, tea and coffee-making facilities, fridge and kitchenette. An on-site swimming pool further adds to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The group was highly impressed with the calming feel of the retreat and would happily recommend Elysium Retreat and Stays to visitors seeking peace and quiet, a chance to reconnect with nature, and a relaxing stay just outside of town.
