Thousands of listeners across Central Queensland were treated to a slice of local history last Wednesday when ABC Capricornia broadcast live from Archer Park Rail Museum in Rockhampton.
The outside broadcast followed a media release distributed by Capricorn Enterprise highlighting the remarkable story behind one of the region’s famous steam trains, helping bring the heritage attraction and its fascinating stories to a wider audience.
The broadcast provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase one of the region’s unique experiences and demonstrate the power of local storytelling in inspiring residents and visitors alike to discover more of their own backyard.
Capricorn Enterprise extends its thanks to Jeremy and the team at ABC Capricornia for their continued support of tourism and regional storytelling across Central Queensland.
Their commitment to sharing local stories plays an important role in raising awareness of the people, places and experiences that make our destination so special.
The Archer Park Rail Museum broadcast forms part of an ambitious program of community engagement, with ABC Capricornia aiming to deliver around 95 outside broadcasts across Central Queensland throughout the year.
These broadcasts provide an invaluable platform for communities, attractions and events across the region to share their stories with audiences near and far, helping strengthen local pride and shine a spotlight on the diverse experiences available throughout Central Queensland.
