This week, acclaimed NZ freelance Travel Writer Mike Yardley visited our region during his North Queensland’s Holiday Highway journey from Cairns to Rockhampton/Yeppoon in an epic eight day itinerary thanks to Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ). Mike enjoyed a night at Oshen Yeppoon, a wander down town and a visit to the Yeppoon Lagoon, breakfast at The Waterline Restaurant Keppel Bay Marina, a combo cruise with Freedom Fast Cats, overnight with Great Keppel Island Hideaway, returning with Keppel Konnections before flying out from Rockhampton to Brisbane then Christchurch NZ. While Mike only had a short time in region, he will definitely return for a longer visit on a hosted famil with Capricorn Enterprise and our industry operators.
