As part of the popular Digital Ready Program, in partnership with Capricorn Enterprise, Tourism and Events Queensland is running an Events Bootcamp on the Capricorn Coast – Tuesday 29 April 2014 from 10am – 2:30pm. Following the workshop we will be running a limited number of one on one mentoring sessions on the Tuesday afternoon (at Rosslyn Bay Resort) and Wednesday morning (Capricorn Enterprise board room in Rockhampton). Both workshops and mentoring sessions will be conducted by Susan Maynard.

Session A: Online and Social Media Marketing for Events
Understand how to use online and social media opportunities to promote and sell your event. This workshop covers search engine optimisation and marketing, email marketing and social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and photo sharing platforms). Learn how to track this activity and how well it performs for your event.

Session B: Planning your Online Strategy for Events
This interactive workshop will help you set up a holistic online marketing strategy for your event. Ensure you are reaching your visitors / participants at the key stages of their planning and booking process. Understand how to plan your online activity to meet your business objectives. Please note participants are recommended to bring a laptop to this session.
