Each year the Mater Hospital Rockhampton holds its annual charity golf day in order to raise funds to purchase vital equipment and upgrade our facilities. This can significantly enhance patient care.

The Mater Hospital Rockhampton is part of a not-for-profit organisation (Mercy Health and Aged Care Central Queensland) established and operated for charitable purposes.

This year the funds raised will directly assist the Oncology Unit. The Oncology Unit provides care to patients with cancers and other chronic illnesses. They receive day treatments including chemotherapy and drug administration for pain and symptom control without the need to travel long distances away from family and friends. Currently we need to provide more space to accommodate increased demand for the service.
