Hollywood heartthrob visits Heron!

It’s not every day a Hollywood heart throb visits the Southern Great Barrier Reef, but last week, Freedom Fast Cats, sworn to secrecy, was chartered to Heron Island to transport a group of about eighty cast and crew including Australian Actor Chris Hemsworth who has teamed with National Geographic and “One Strange Rock” Producers to front a science series “LIMITLESS”.
Due for release in 2021, Thor star Chris Hemsworth will host Limitless from Jane Root’s Nutopia and Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures, with the series asking questions like; what if aging is not inevitable or what if it’s a disease that can be cured. Chris Hemsworth will transform himself by training for six extraordinary challenges, showing how to fight aging at every stage of life, with each episode tackling a different way we can live better for longer.
Heron Island was chosen as one of the documentaries film locations in December last year, with all involved of course sworn to secrecy. Congratulations to Heron Island Sales & Marketing Director Karen Sweeney and her marketing team on providing exceptional service yet again and for waving the Southern Great Barrier Reef flag!
In a media statement in mid January this year, Chris Hemsworth said “basically, I was somehow convinced to volunteer myself as a human guinea pig and endure a series of mental and physical challenges across the globe, all for the sake of science. We’re hoping to shed some light on new ideas and emerging science with the focus on extending a healthy life span. Production starts soon, so wish me luck.”
