Holidaying at Carnarvon Gorge is now a Breeze

With a strong commitment to helping guests create an enjoyable holiday experience that won’t quickly be forgotten, Queensland owned and operated, Breeze Holiday Parks have recently taken the reigns of the former Takarakka Bush Resort at Carnarvon Gorge.

Open year-round and welcoming guests from far and wide to dust off their hiking boots and plan their next adventure discovering the incredibly striking landscapes, towering sandstone cliffs and endless tablelands, the fresh and motivated team are ready to make holidaying in paradise a ‘breeze’.

Just a 4km drive from where the Carnarvon walks begin, Breeze Holiday Parks is set on 100 acres within Carnarvon National Park. Whether guests are seeking cabin accommodation or looking for the perfect place to park up the caravan or set up camp, this quintessential base has something for everyone.

Breeze’s Director, Frank Davies said this was the 12th park in their portfolio of holiday parks across some of Australia’s most iconic destinations.

“Carnarvon Gorge, with its pristine beauty and magical wide-open spaces, sells itself and our team is extremely fortunate and proud to include this iconic location as part of our nationally recognised brand,” Frank said.

“We are dedicated to taking the visitor experience from good to great and delivering exceptional service to every single guest. Whether it’s a private getaway or a meeting point for family and friends, we’re excited to help people create holiday memories that last a lifetime.”

“Our team is impressed with the activities and options available at Carnarvon Gorge, from self-guided exploration at your own pace, to an educational tour with the local guides,” Frank said. “Visitors have the choice of doing a lot or very little during their stay and we will be extending the opportunities for guests to visit by opening all year round.”

Already working closely with existing tourism operators in Carnarvon Gorge, Michelle Whitehouse from Australian Nature Guides (the Gorge’s most experienced tour guides) shared her enthusiasm in having the professionally run operation on board.

“We are so grateful to see this new management team join our beautiful tourism community here at Carnarvon Gorge,” Michelle said.

“With a shared passion for our landscape and an evident commitment to the ongoing education and care of our natural environment, we look forward to forging a strong relationship with the Breeze team and continuing to provide an unforgettable experience and deeper respect for every visitor to Carnarvon Gorge.”

Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll extended a warm welcome to Breeze Holiday Parks and commended the way that the team are already enhancing visitor experience.

“Carnarvon Gorge is one of our destination’s hero products, and we are so fortunate to have the Breeze team injecting a new lease of life and sharing their expertise to provide guests with a well-rounded stay,” Mary said.

“We continue to see significant investors such as Breeze Holiday Parks choosing to ‘buy in’ to the success of our remarkable destination and we look forward to supporting and working with the team to boost visitor numbers.”
