Thyme Travellers Farm Stay Expands with New Self-Contained Accommodation
Posted on February 25th, 2025
Thyme Travellers Farm Stay on the Capricorn Coast is excited to announce the addition of a brand-new, fully self-contained two-bedroom unit, providing visitors with even more comfort and convenience while enjoying a tranquil farm experience.
Complimenting their already existing 18 caravan/camp sites, the newly built unit is fully furnished, air-conditioned, and designed for a relaxing stay, featuring a spacious rear patio, a laundry room, and private amenities.
Guests can enjoy all the comforts of home while immersing themselves in the peaceful surroundings of the farm, where friendly cows, horses, goats, and chickens, along with the farm’s newest residents—two purebred Lowline calves and two playful Pygmy goats—offer an authentic rural experience.
Owner Michelle Davey-Mattson expressed her enthusiasm for the new accommodation, welcoming guests to take the time to getaway.
“We are thrilled to offer this beautiful new space to our valued guests,” Michelle said.
“Whether you’re looking for a family getaway or a quiet retreat, our two-bedroom unit provides the perfect blend of comfort and nature.”
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, visit our animals, and truly reconnect with the outdoors.”
The expansion of Thyme Travellers Farm Stay aligns with the region’s growing popularity as a nature-based tourism destination.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll, welcomed the addition, stating, “Thyme Travellers Farm Stay is a fantastic example of how our region continues to develop unique and immersive tourism experiences.”
“This new self-contained unit offers an excellent option for visitors who want to experience the beauty of the Capricorn Coast while enjoying a farm stay escape.”
Since opening, Thyme Travellers Farm Stay has continued to evolve with the needs of their guests, adding a new shower block and finalising its third fully equipped camp kitchen.
Plans are also underway to build a walking bridge over the creek to add to the tranquillity of the Farm.
Thyme Travellers Farm Stay opened just last year after six years of dedication and hard work by Michelle and her husband James.
With a focus on providing a relaxing and family-friendly environment, the farm has quickly become a popular choice for travellers seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience.
Bookings for the new two-bedroom unit are now open.
