International Agents Wowed by Capricorn Coast Pre-ATE Famil

Capricorn Enterprise in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ), Tourism Australia (TA) and our industry operators wowed four key international agents to our region from Wed 23rd to Sunday 27th April, prior to ATE25 in Brisbane.  Olivia, Ramona, Fiona and Monique from New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the Netherlands, playfully dubbed as our ‘United Nations delegation’, were absolutely wowed by the diversity in our Capricorn Coast Region.

Hosted by CEO Mary Carroll (and assisted by Eloise), from city to country, rainforest to reef, crocs, caves and keppel, our guests enjoyed 4 nights & 4 days of hospitality from our wonderful operators including Capricorn Caves, Hedlow Retreat, Castle Rock Farm Byfield, Oshen Yeppoon, Koorana Crocodile Farm, High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm, Freedom Fast Cats (Adventure Day Cruise), Keppel Konnections and Great Keppel Island Hideaway. They were also impressed by the quality and variety of beverages and meals including the Waterline Restaurant, Byfield Store, Koorana Crocodile Farm, The Station 4703, Lure Living, GKI Bar & Bistro, Yeppoon Lagoon.

Beginning their visit with the obligatory crossing the Tropic of Capricorn at The Spire in Rockhampton, a city tour via the Botanic Gardens, Great Western Hotel, the historic Quay Street, then up to Nurim Skywalk Mount Archer National Park, which always provides the best introduction to our incredibly diverse region, this tour offered an additional special treat to our usual famil itineraries.  On Friday 25th April, the ladies were offered to join me at the Emu Park ANZAC Day memorial and they were genuinely moved by the occasion.  During the following week’s meeting schedule at ATE in Brisbane, our guests repeatedly mentioned how much they had enjoyed their pre-ATE familiarisation visit.  Thus are the special memories created when hosting guests to our destination.
