Capricorn Enterprise was proud to host a targeted famil with Inbound Tour Operators (ITO’s) from 25th to 28th August, welcoming key international inbound partners from ANZCRO, ATS Pacific/AOT Inbound, and Pan Pacific. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing trade relationships and showcase the region’s diverse tourism offerings.
This famil marked our first ever hosting of both ANZCRO and ATS Pacific—a milestone for our destination. It was a pleasure to introduce Traci Aylward (ANZCRO) and Kathy Georgiou (ATS Pacific) to the Capricorn Coast region. Notably, ATS Pacific, through its parent company Helloworld, plays a significant role in Australian inbound tourism, and Capricorn Enterprise has worked closely with long-time industry contact Chris Forde over many years, making Kathy’s visit particularly meaningful.
We were also delighted to welcome Karen Perez from Pan Pacific, an important trade partner with whom we’ve fostered a strong relationship, previously having hosted colleagues Sandra Feustel, Lydie Godot, Claire-Marie Bray and Denis Pavageau (now Voyageurs Du Monde).
Over four days, the famil guests enjoyed a curated itinerary featuring iconic regional experiences including Rockhampton, Yeppoon & Emu Park tours, an overnight stay with Great Keppel Island Hideaway, a day of fun on the Freedom Fast Cats’ Adventure Cruise, a peaceful night in a tiny home at High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm Stay, visit to Cooberrie Park, guided tour and lunch at Koorana Crocodile Farm, guided buggy trip with Castle Rock Farm Stay, and the spectacular Capricorn Caves Cathedral Cave tour as well as delicious meals at Beaches Restaurant Rosslyn Bay, The Waterline Restaurant Keppel Bay Marina, Vue Wine Bar & Restaurant, Riverston Tea Rooms, —supported by our generous operators with heartfelt hospitality throughout.
Importantly, all three guests provided excellent follow-up after the famil, reinforcing their enthusiasm for developing and promoting new product for our region.
We extend our sincere thanks to every local operator involved for helping us deliver such a memorable and professionally valuable experience. This famil was not only a showcase of our destination—it was a meaningful step forward in growing our trade partnerships and increasing international exposure for the Capricorn Coast, Southern Great Barrier Reef destination brand.
