Last week, Capricorn Enterprise team member Eloise Chaffers caught up with key tourism trade partners in the UK, following the successful Tourism & Events Qld trade mission “Qld is Calling”.
Eloise visited Audley Travel’s head office in Witney, training 4 Aussie Specialist agents, as well as 18 agents who dialled in remotely from Boston, England. This training builds on our Southern Great Barrier Reef campaign partnership during the 2023-24 financial year, and provided an opportunity to present an overview and update on SGBR Trade product, with a requested focus on specific island and mainland products which are not well known to the agents.
While in Europe/UK, Eloise was also able to catch up with Adil Hmami, Aussie Specialist Program Trainer from Tourism Australia, as well as pop into Travelbag’s top-performing store in Winchester (which conveniently happens to be her hometown) as well as Travelbag Cheltenham. The tourism industry globally, nationally and within Queensland is highly competitive, so we appreciate our Southern Great Barrier Reef destination partnership with TEQ and TA so that we can continue to grow international awareness of this very special part of the sunshine state.
