We are proud to shine a spotlight on a truly inspiring story of growth, connection and cultural leadership.
Founded by proud Darumbal, Wadja Wadja and Pitjantjatjara man Jordan Young, Warama Culture is now offering bespoke cultural experiences for corporate team-builds, group bookings and immersive storytelling sessions – setting a fresh standard for how organisations can engage with First Nations heritage, respect Country and build stronger team dynamics.
Jordan’s personal journey is powerful.
Growing up as a young Indigenous boy in Central Queensland, he was immersed in family culture and the traditions of his ancestors. He later trained and worked as a paramedic – a role built on service, care and community.
But behind that professional pathway, Jordan felt a growing responsibility to share more of his culture, his story and his people’s traditions with the next generation and the broader community.
“Culture is not just a heritage we look back on – it’s a living, breathing part of who we are, who we serve and who we connect with,” says Jordan.
“My journey as both a paramedic and cultural educator has taught me that the greatest healing begins with understanding — of Country, of community, of each other.”
“With Warama Culture I’m offering spaces at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre for teams and groups to step into that understanding together.”

Warama Culture invites corporates, professional groups and community organisations to participate in tailor-designed sessions that combine storytelling, traditional dance, ochre painting, artifact exploration and cultural performances.
Each element is crafted to foster respect, awareness and connection to First Nations heritage while building team cohesion and authentic engagement.
“In our sessions I don’t just want people to watch – I want them to do, reflect, talk and connect.”
“When a team paints a piece of ochre art, dances together, explores an artefact and hears the story behind it — that moment of shared experience creates something deeper.”
The Capricorn Coast Region and Southern Great Barrier Reef destination is home to rich First Nations histories and living cultural traditions.
Warama Culture’s offering provides an opportunity for organisations to engage in meaningful, high-quality cultural experiences on our doorstep – supporting local Indigenous enterprise, building awareness and enhancing the destination’s depth of offering for both locals and visitors.
Capricorn Enterprise Chief Executive Officer Mary Carroll congratulates Jordan for his work to date, which she believes is a testament to what genuine cultural leadership looks like.
“Our region is fortunate to have local Indigenous enterprise delivering world-class cultural experiences that support team building, visitor education and community awareness.”
“We encourage businesses and visiting groups to experience Jordan’s sessions and view the region through a deeper cultural lens.”
From humble beginnings in a home garage crafting didgeridoos and cultural artefacts with his father, to now leading Warama Culture as founder and CEO, Jordan Young is sharing his culture in a way that connects business, community and Country.
