Capricorn Enterprise recently welcomed Imran Abdullah (Immy), Head of Digital Content, Travel at 9Entertainment, to the Capricorn Coast as part of a Tourism and Events Queensland media visit showcasing some of the region’s standout visitor experiences.
Visiting over three days, as part of a five day Southern Great Barrier Reef famil, the itinerary highlighted the diversity of experiences available across our region. Immy based himself at Ingenia Holiday Parks Kinka Beach before exploring the Yeppoon town centre, including the vibrant foreshore precinct and the iconic Yeppoon Lagoon. He also enjoyed dinner at The Waterline Restaurant, experiencing the region’s local hospitality and dining scene.
A day on Great Keppel Island after a ferry transfer with Freedom Fast Cats provided an opportunity to experience one of the Southern Great Barrier Reef’s most accessible island destinations. The visit included a buggy tour to one of the island’s lookouts, a site inspection of Great Keppel Island Hideaway, and lunch overlooking the island’s pristine waters.
The itinerary concluded with a visit to Capricorn Caves, where Immy experienced the Capricorn Explorer Tour followed by the iconic Cathedral Cave Tour, showcasing one of the region’s most significant natural attractions.
The visit forms part of Capricorn Enterprise’s ongoing partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland to build awareness of the Capricorn Coast through influential media, helping inspire future visitation by showcasing the region’s unique blend of coastal, island and nature-based experiences to a national audience.
Media visits such as these play an important role in securing high-quality editorial coverage, strengthening the Capricorn Coast’s profile in key domestic markets and encouraging more travellers to discover the destination.
