Best of Queensland Experiences Program (BOQEP) Capricorn Coast Regional Workshop

Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science & Innovation (DETSI) recently hosted a Best of Queensland Experiences Program (BOQEP) workshop with support from Capricorn Enterprise at Salt, Yeppoon. The program helps tourism operators strengthen their visitor experiences, using customer reviews and industry best-practice criteria to recognise quality and identify opportunities for improvement. Achieving Best of Queensland recognition can also strengthen an operator’s visibility, with recognised experiences prioritised across TEQ’s marketing activities, helping connect more visitors with quality local tourism businesses.

Alongside the workshop, TEQ’s Andy Jiang and DETSI’s Taylor Redwood and Nicolle Phillips were hosted by Capricorn Enterprise for a regional famil, featuring local attractions, flavours and coastal experiences including Capricorn Caves, Salty Lime Co, Koorana Crocodile Farm, Emu Park ANZAC Memorial and The Waterline Restaurant, with Andy continuing on to Great Keppel Island Hideaway, Byfield Rainforest & Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary, showcasing the diversity of experiences across the entire Capricorn Coast Region.
