Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary welcomes a cuddly addition

Yeppoon’s home to all things cuddly, loveable, cheeky, and slimy, Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary, has welcomed a new member to their ever-growing family – an adorable koala joey.

Offspring to proud mother, Calypso, the Sanctuary’s youngest resident was welcomed to the world on earlier this year and has just spent the past week coming out of mum’s pouch to discover the leafy surrounds of its new pad, while staying close to the comfort and security of mum.

While it’s still too early to identify the joey’s sex, the team at Cooberrie Park are thrilled to announce this exciting news and hope to call on the community in the near future to assist with naming the cute tacker.

To keep up to date with the joey’s progress, visit Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary’s facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/cooberriepark or purchase your admission tickets online and come and say hello to the delightful new local.
