Capricorn Enterprise together with NBN Local hosted a Business Breakfast Event on 20th July at Rosslyn Bay Resort, with a number of Capricorn Coast businesses in attendance. The meeting heard from Veronica Cech, who outlined her journey in jointly establishing Quality Veterinary Care Centre.

Veronica’s vision of establishing a Veterinary Hospital that maintained quality service and a caring atmosphere commenced in 2010. She spoke about how the application of technology had played a key role in development of the Centre’s services, including remote expert consultations, X-Rays, camera monitoring, blood sampling and client interaction to deliver a service equivalent to best-in class surgeries established in metropolitan areas. This capability has been enabled for QVCC through NBNCo’s Enterprise Ethernet services being introduced into Yeppoon’s new Business Fibre Zone.

Rick Hospers, NBNCo Local Business Lead, then provided an overview of current initiatives being undertaken in the region, including extension of fibre connectivity to new areas of Rockhampton and Yeppoon, as well as expansion and upgrades to fixed wireless services in rural areas.
