In honour of his incredible contributions to music and the community, friends and family have gathered together to create the John ‘Marto’ Martin Community Music Memorial Trust.
You knew him for his smile that lit up a room.
You knew him for his warmth and care of everyone he encountered.
You knew him as a pioneer and innovator.
You knew him for his incredible love of his wife and family.
You knew him for his commitment and dedication to the music community
You knew him for his gift of bringing music to life –
…..making your feet tap,
…..making you confident to sing out loud
…..making you pick up an instrument and join an impromptu jam session
….. making you kick off your shoes and dance the night away

This trust will support scholarships and bursaries for young people to pursue their music passion.
The Westpac team has helped to set up a bank account within days for the Trust!
