Capricorn Enterprise proudly represented the region through 88 pre-scheduled appointments over four very busy days (Monday 11th to Thursday 14th May) at this year’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE2026) in Adelaide, joining with more than 370 Queensland operators and the Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) team to connect with international buyers and showcase Australia’s leading visitor experiences.
Our Capricorn Coast Southern Great Barrier Reef regional booth was located within the SGBR precinct, providing an opportunity to highlight the region’s diverse tourism offering to key domestic and international trade partners through appointments alongside a busy program of evening networking events.
Sincere thanks to several Capricorn Coast operators who also attended ATE with their own dedicated booths, including Koorana Crocodile Farm, Great Keppel Island Hideaway, Freedom Fast Cats and Dreamtime Resorts, showcasing the strength and depth of the region’s tourism industry on the international stage, as half of the twelve (12) booths in the SGBR section, were from our Capricorn Coast region.
Our SGBR partners in attendance with dedicated booths included 1770 LARC! Tours, Heron/Wilson Islands, Lady Musgrave Experience, Gladstone Region SGBR, Gladstone Region Tours, Monsoon Aquatics, Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tours.
Thanks also to our national brands representing product across the SGBR including Central Apartment Group, Ingenia Holiday Parks, GBRMPA (Master Reef Guides) and more…
ATE remained Australia’s largest annual tourism trade event and provided a valuable platform to strengthen relationships with global travel buyers, drive future visitation and increase awareness of the Capricorn Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef experience. From island adventures and reef experiences to unique wildlife encounters and coastal accommodation, the region generated strong interest from the international market.
Capricorn Enterprise thanks all attending operators and industry partners for their ongoing commitment to promoting the region and working collaboratively to grow visitation and economic outcomes for the Capricorn Coast.
